Weekly Photo Challenge: New

As we start 2015 the challenge at The Daily Post was to explore the theme “NEW”.  This challenge to me is represented in the fate of my old passport.  It has been 10 years now since my first overseas travel which means it is time for me to retire my first ever passport and get a new one.

What's old is new again. 10 years on it is time to retire my old friend and get a new Passport.

What’s old is to be new again. 10 years on it is time to retire my old friend and get a new Passport.

Hard to describe the feelings and memories locked up in the pages of that old passport, all the wonder and amazement of that first time leaving Australian soil – what would I see?  would I enjoy it? – before this little passport came along I had no desire to leave Australia – now I struggle to fight the desire to seldom return!

Though it is not all sadness, 2015 means I get a fresh 25 blank pages to fill up with adventures, experiences and perhaps a few old favourites. 10 years of travels but still so much to explore, what will the next 10 years bring.

Welcome to the new year – the new passport and the new page of my adventures and travels.
